Metropolitan Opera House

The Metropolitan Opera House is located in the Lincoln Ctre in Manhattan. It is a beautiful opera house. You can't miss to go inside the opera. The lobby contains two magnificent murals painted by Marc Chagall, a French-Russian artist who painted the ceiling of the Opera Garnier in Paris. There are splendid crystal chandeliers from Austria. And statues of Aristide Maillol, a French sculptor and Wilhelm Lehmbruck, a German scultor. Tours are available, you can see the auditorium decorated in gold.

You can watch the world greatest operas at the Metropolitan Opera House like Don Giovanni, Madama Butterfly, Manon, La Traviata... These screens front of the seats are very useful, offer subtitles in different languages.

BAM Howard Gilman Opera House

The BAM Howard Gilman Opera House belongs to the Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM). The BAM is also the place for the BAM Harvey Theater, the BAM Rose Cinemas and the BAM Cafe.

The BAM Howard Gilman Opera House has seen many well-known artistslike Enrico Caruso, a famous Italian tenor.

Carnegie Hall

The Carnegie Hall is one of the most well-known concert halls in the world. Tchaikovsky conducted the opening night concert on May 5, 1891.

There are three auditoriums with the best accoustics, the main hall Stern Auditorium/Perelman Stage, Zankel Hall and the Weill Recital Hall. One of the best places for New York classical music concerts.

The Bargemusic is on a barge located near the Brooklyn Bridge. The view is beautiful. It's a unique and romantic place to listen to a concert. Sometimes they hold free classical concerts.

Avery Fisher Hall

The Avery Fisher Hall is one of the best concert halls situated in the Lincoln Ctre. Fabulous concerts of the New York Philharmonic, one of the oldest widely known American orchestras.

Merkin Concert Hall

The Merkin Concert Hall is located in Manhattan, in the Kaufman Center. At the same place, there are the Lucy Moses School and the Special Music School. The Merkin Concert Hall holds around 200 concerts a year.
