How to go to Schoenbrunn Palace? The easy way is to take the underground U4 and stop at Schonbrunn station. When you arrive, ask what kind of offers and tours they have.

The Imperial Tour includes a visit to the apartments of Emperor Franz Joseph and his wife Elisabeth. The Grand Tour will take you also to the Hall of the ceremonies, the Gobelin Salon and the Millions Room. Passes are worth it.

If you come with kids, they will enjoy to visit the zoo. It is the oldest zoo in the world. And they will have fun in the Maze & Labyrinth.

It takes at least a full half day to visit the Palace. That includes the Palace, the park and the gloriette, the zoo, the maze, the Palm House, the Desert Experience House and the Carriage Museum.

Hofburg Palace

The Hofburg Palace is located central of Vienna. You can come with the underground. Just take the line U3 and stop at Herrengasse station. What do you see at the Hofburg Palace? The Imperial Apartments of Franz Joseph I and Elisabeth, the Sisi Museum displays personal items of the Empress Elisabeth of Austria and the Silver Collection contains the most beautiful objects of the Court. They are open every day. Some great tours are available, standard, private, evening tours and themed tours.

The Sisi Ticket is for those who plan to visit the Schonbrunn Palace, the Hofburg Palace and the Imperial Furniture Collection (Andreasgasse 7 and underground U3 station Zieglergasse). The ticket is valid for one year and is for only one entrance to all the attractions. It allows you to skip the long queues at the Schonbrunn Palace.

Hofburg Palace in Vienna

You must visit the Spanish Riding School with the Lippizan horses located near the Hofburg Vienna Palace. It’s the oldest riding school in the world.

Performances are held mainly at 11am and sometimes at 7pm. They last approximately 80 to 100 minutes.

A 1 hour guided tour is also available for visitors during the afternoon. Kids below 3 years old cannot attend performances or guided tours. 

Palais Palffy

The Palffy Palace is located in the center of Vienna. The castle has a the most beautiful decor. Mozart came to the palace when he was 6 years old. In 1786, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart played his first opera, the Marriage of Figaro in the Palais Palffy.
